There are three different types of polypropylene absorbents – general purpose, oil and fuel, and chemical. They are all specifically developed for different types of liquids; for more information please see our FAQs. If you have any questions about which absorbent you should buy, please feel free to contact us by phone, email or chat.
General purpose and chemical polypropylene absorbents are typically used only on hard surfaces, while oil and fuel absorbents can also be used on water.
Absorbent Booms (or socks) are typically used to contain spills on land and water – for best results on water use our marine absorbent booms. Absorbent Pillows are normally used to soak up contained liquids or absorb drips and leaks. Absorbent Pads are often used to both absorb a spill and clean up an incident site.
SpillBoss Polypropylene Absorbents are used by a wide range of industries including the energy, mining, oil and gas sectors, on land and marine construction sites, in mechanical workshops, and in manufacturing facilities.
